Creating your account and business

Signing up with email or Google, what gets created for you, and how businesses stay separate.

4 min read

Signing up creates a business — your own private workspace — and makes you its first administrator. Everything you go on to record lives inside that business and is visible to nobody outside it.

Signing up

There are two ways to create an account on the sign-up page:

  • Email and password. Give your name, email, a password of at least 8 characters, and optionally your business name.
  • Google. One click; your name and email come from your Google account and there is no password to remember.

One email, one account

An email address can own only one PrintERP account. If yours is already registered, sign in on the login page instead of creating a second account.

What gets created for you

Signing up sets up four things in one go, so you have a working shell before you touch anything:

CreatedDetails
Your businessNamed from what you typed, or *“<your name>’s Business”* if you left it blank. Currency defaults to the Philippine Peso.
A main branchCalled *“Main Branch”*. Rename it in the setup wizard.
Your userWith the Admin role, so you can reach every part of the system.
A Free subscriptionNo card required. Upgrade whenever you need to.

Nothing else is created — no sample products, suppliers or categories. The setup wizard suggests some starting inventory, but nothing is saved until you confirm it. Your data is yours from the first row.

How businesses stay separate

PrintERP is multi-tenant: many print shops run on the same installation, and every record carries the business it belongs to. Queries are scoped to your business automatically, so there is no way to see or be seen by another shop.

Why the same email can exist in two businesses

Email addresses are unique within a business, not globally across the system. That lets a freelance operator be a user in two different shops. Your own login, though, always belongs to exactly one of them.

What happens next

You land straight in the setup wizard, which cannot be skipped — the dashboard stays locked until it is finished. It takes a few minutes and is covered in The setup wizard.

Can I add colleagues later?

Yes, from Users. Note the Free plan includes one user; adding a second needs a paid plan. See Plans and limits.

Can I change the business name afterwards?

Yes — see Business, branch and currency settings.

I signed in with Google and it was refused.

Sign-in is refused if Google reports the address as unverified, or if an administrator has deactivated your user. Ask your administrator to check Users.
