Upgrading and payment verification
Paying for a plan, submitting your reference number, and why activation is not instant.
Upgrading is done from Subscription, which only administrators can open. You pay through the hosted checkout, then submit your payment reference so the plan can be activated.
How to upgrade
- 1Open Subscription and compare the tiers.
- 2Choose monthly or annual billing.
- 3Follow the checkout link and pay.
- 4Come back and enter the payment reference number from your receipt.
- 5Wait for verification — usually quick, but not instant.
Why activation is not immediate
A reference number on its own proves nothing
Anyone can type a plausible-looking reference. Until the payment is matched against the provider's record it is a claim, not a fact. Where a payment is confirmed automatically by the provider the plan activates on its own; otherwise an operator checks it and activates it manually. The wait is short, and it is what stops the system being upgraded by anyone who can type.
The amount charged is worked out on the server from the plan and billing cycle, never taken from the browser — so it cannot be altered on the way through.
Monthly or annual
Annual billing is priced at ten months for twelve, so a year costs the same as ten monthly payments. If you are confident you will still be printing in a year, it is straightforwardly cheaper.
Renewals and expiry
Paying early never loses you the days you already have
If you renew while your current period is still running, the new term is added to the end of it rather than starting today. There is no penalty for renewing in good time.
Your current period end is shown on the Subscription page. When it passes without renewal, the subscription lapses and the plan's limits apply again — with over-limit records hidden, never deleted, as described in Plans and limits.
If something goes wrong
I paid but my plan has not changed.
Check the reference was submitted on Subscription. If it shows as pending, it is waiting on verification.
I entered the wrong reference.
Submit the correct one. A rejected payment leaves your subscription untouched.
Can I downgrade?
Yes, from the same screen. Records above the lower plan's limits are hidden rather than deleted.
Is my card stored?
No. Payment happens on the provider's hosted checkout; PrintERP records the plan, the cycle and your reference.
