Reading your dashboard
What each stat card counts, what the quick links do, and how to start a job from the widget.
The dashboard answers one question: what needs my attention right now? It is two rows of counters, a set of shortcuts, and a widget for starting work without leaving the page.
The top row — today

| In Production | Jobs running on the press now |
| In Queue | Jobs created and waiting to start |
| Completed Today | Jobs finished since midnight |
| Low Stock Alerts | Items at or below their reorder level |
Low Stock Alerts turns red as soon as the count is above zero. It compares each item's current stock against the reorder level you set — see Categories, SKUs, reorder levels and locations for how to choose one.
The second row — totals
Total Jobs, Products, Machines and Customers are all-time counts rather than today's activity. They are most useful as a sanity check: if Products reads zero, no job you run will consume anything, because there are no recipes to consume from.
Quick links
The shortcut grid mirrors the sidebar, and is filtered by what your role may open — so a Sales user sees a shorter grid than an Admin. That is expected, not a fault. See Adding users and choosing a role.
Quick Production
The widget at the bottom is a compact version of the production floor: pick products, set quantities, and send a job straight to the queue without navigating away. It creates exactly the same kind of job as the full screen — see Running a production job.
Tip
If the widget is missing, your role does not include Production. Everything else on the dashboard still works.
